The CREST Diploma in Christian Leadership

Year One: PERSONAL CLARITY

Encounter/Course 1: Taking A Hold of Your Life
Clarity about where you’ve been in your life, where you are now, and the direction you need to navigate the transitions moving forward. 
 
Topics include:
  • Second Half Spirituality – Understanding spiritual growth and maturity
  • Kairos Moments – maximizing the moments God gives us
  • Setting Your Sail – establishing the direction you want to go with your life
  • Digging For Gold – affirming your story and it’s contribution to your identity
  • Navigating Transitions – understanding and embracing life changes
  • Expanding Your Horizons – discovering the way you learn and think
Encounter/Course 2: Driving Forward with Your Values
Clarity about your purpose and values, and aligning your life with them to build integrity and trust.
 
Topics include:
  • Hearing God’s Voice – He is always speaking value and purpose into our lives
  • Knowing Yourself – increasing your self-awareness and openness to others 
  • Prioritizing Values – sorting through your values and affirming your top 5
  • Establishing Integrity – aligning your behaviour into one integrated life
  • Building Trust – focusing on the 13 behaviours that build trust

Encounter/Course 3: Tightening the Grip On Your Strengths

Clarity regarding your God-given talents and ambitions, and how to steward your life to be at your strongest. 

 Topics include:

  • Trinitarian Faith – understanding how the journey of our faith impacts our life
  • Sacred Pathways – discovering many differents ways to connect with God
  • Developing Your Strengths – assessing your talents and growing strengths
  • Expanding Your Capacity – setting goals to improve the 4 pillars of your health
  • Following Your Dreams – surfacing your God-given dreams and desires

Year Two: LEADERSHIP CLARITY

Encounter/Course 4: Investing Wisely in Your Relationships
How to maximize teamwork and conversations that empower people and defuse conflict.
 
Topics include:
  • The Power of Words – understanding and evaluating the way we have with words
  • Spiritual Direction – thinking about where our spiritual direction comes from
  • Leading Teams – assessing the kind of team environment where you work best
  • Empowering People – utilizing coaching and mentoring best practices
  • Maximizing Conversations – improving your skills to communicate
  • Managing Conflict – analyzing how conflict grows and how to defuse it

Encounter/Course 5: Creating Clarity For Your Strategy

Tools to set targets, develop plans, and lead change efficiently and collaboratively.
 
Topics include:
  • The Christian Story – looking back and ahead to where Christianity may go
  • Setting Targets – planning and goal-setting with purpose and values in mind
  • Enhancing Productivity – evaluating tools and processes designed for effeciency
  • Leading Change – understanding the steps necessary for change done well
  • Processing Ideas – exploring a tool that leads a group in discussing an idea

Encounter/Course 6: Looking Ahead to Your Convergence

Understanding how your identity and God’s calling on your life come together to help you flourish. 
 
Topics include:
  • The Way of Jesus – recognizing and embracing the pattern we see in Jesus’ life
  • Embracing Endings – rethinking the endings that take place in life 
  • Flourishing Forward – committing to the few behaviours that lead us to flourishing
  • Fulfilling Purpose – discovering and prioritizing the calling of God on our lives
  • Synthesizing CREST – analyzing the learning you’ve done over your CREST journey

Online

The Online option will take you through each of the major themes described above in 6 separate courses. We stagger the dates for access to the courses over 2 years, which ensures a proper pace for completion. Each online student is also part of a cohort with other CREST students, which ensures peer-learning and collaboration.

To receive the Diploma of Christian Leadership, you will need to complete all 6 courses and assignments.

Tuition can be paid in a lump sum before each year, or in monthly payments over the two year duration of the diploma program (plus books)

In Person

When you join CREST In Person, you will be taking a journey through the 6 major themes described above with a small cohort of others. We will be gathering together at a retreat centre for 6 “Encounters” throughout the 2 years (3/year). The cohort with other CREST students ensures peer-learning and collaboration.

To receive the Diploma of Christian Leadership, you will need to complete all 6 encounters and assignments.
