An Unexpected Christmas

By Dan Reinhardt

No one expected what would happen that first Christmas. Mary did not ask for an angel to come to her and make a most incredible request. Joseph certainly did not expect it; it took an angel to explain things to him.  The shepherds were doing their ordinary work of watching over their flocks, and they certainly did not expect an angel choir to interrupt their night. The village of Bethlehem did not expect that the Messiah would be born there; so they inadvertently denied him a room.

In the midst of your ordinary, typical activities this Christmas, make sure you keep an expectant eye out for Jesus. He just might show up in ways you are not expecting.

Merry Christmas from CREST!
